Editorial Policy

• Time-sensitive information — visas, border rules, transport, airports, health requirements, event dates, prices and opening hours — is checked against the issuing authority’s own source and linked to it.
• A listing is published only when we can confirm the place exists where we say it does. We do not invent businesses, and we do not pad directories.
• Every record carries a verification status. Until an editor has checked it against the operator’s own information, the page says so plainly.
• Map positions are approximate unless stated, and are labelled as approximate on the map.

Destination pages carry an internal maturity rating. A page is included in search engines only once it is published, at least Basic, and genuinely has something to read. Thin pages are kept out of the index rather than published for the sake of coverage.

Each collection has a review frequency — 90 days for the most time-sensitive, up to a year for the most stable. A nightly job flags records that are due for review. It never rewrites visa, immigration, legal or border information automatically.

Pages show “Last reviewed” at the foot, beside the link to report an error.

Asia.Travel may use artificial intelligence and automated tools to assist with researching, drafting, translating, summarising, formatting, categorising and updating content. AI-assisted or AI-generated information may contain errors, omissions or outdated information. Users should independently verify important information, particularly regarding visas, immigration, laws, health, safety, borders, transport schedules, prices and bookings, with the relevant official authorities or service providers. Visitors may report suspected inaccurate or inappropriate information through Report Content or support@asia.travel.

Articles drafted with AI assistance carry the note “Drafted with AI assistance and reviewed by our editors”. AI is never used to invent quotations, reviews, prices, photographs of real places or first-hand experiences.

Photographs come from open-licence libraries, from photographers who have given permission, or from the venue. Every photo names its photographer, its source and its licence, and links back to the original. We do not use a photo of one place to illustrate another.

Advertisers and affiliate partners have no influence over what is listed, how it is described or how it is ranked. Commercial content is labelled.
